Telling the unique stories of our incredible nation, Urban Sketchers Lebanon are on a mission to sketch their way around the country.

Urban Sketchers Lebanon started out two years ago when Judy Abi Roustom, Joy Hecht and Amira Al Tabbaa decided to create a platform for people passionate about art. “We wanted to show this beautiful country to the world and provide the space for artists to draw and share their work,” says Al Tabaa.

As an official chapter of the international Urban Sketchers, the group of professional and non-professional artists gather once or twice a month and spend around an hour sketching what surrounds them. They have around 200 members from different nationalities and each artist is free to use the tools and mediums they feel comfortable with.

The sketchers say that what motivates them is their “love for Lebanon, its life, scenery, streets, people and passion for art” and they are always ready to welcome others on board. “Anyone can take part, regardless of their nationality. They can just show up at our gatherings and sketch with us,” says Abi Roustom.
