Beirut Restaurants Festival

 

Promising a food celebration like no other, the Beirut Restaurants Festival returns to the Trainstation in Mar Mikhael from 29 September – 1 October. 

Held at Beirut’s iconic Trainstation, the festival features almost 60 restaurants, bars and pastry shops, serving up their tastiest items in small and affordable portions. There'll also be a bunch of bands and DJs on stage, entertaining the crowd well into the right.

The festival is open on 29 and 30 September (5 pm to 1 am) and on 1 October (noon to 11 pm).

German Film Week



Goethe-Institut Libanon and the Metropolis Association have the pleasure to present the fourth edition of German Film Week, taking place until 1 October at cinema Metropolis Empire Sofil.

German Film Week 2017 presents seven contemporary, internationally acclaimed German-language movies. This year’s Hommage section will pay tribute to German actress and singer Marlene Dietrich.

Eight Stories Exhibition 

 



Led by Head of Collections Yasmine Chemali, this tour will guide you through the museum’s new display, Exhibition Eight Stories from the Sursock Museum Collection, giving insights into its history and highlighting key works.

The play tells the story of the Rafa family, Palestinians who stayed in Palestine and became hostages to fate. It is also the story of the Abu Ghaida family, Palestinians who were forced to leave and left to wander all corners of the world in search of a country they could call their own.

Art for Education

 



An exhibition by artist Tom Young in aid of Teach a Child, including 50 major works from the past five years and new cityscapes and paintings from inside the iconic Holiday Inn. A percentage of sales will be given to aid the NGO with buying books, paying tuition fees and transporting children to school.
