SUMMARY:Explore Ain Zebde, a picturesque village at the foothills of the Barouk Mountains in West Bekaa. The village is famous for its abundant springs, fertile lands, and peaceful natural surroundings.  This Level 5 hike covers 11 km of scenic trails. The route starts in the village and passes through the Machrah area, the main source of water in the region. Along the way, hikers enjoy panoramic views of the Bekaa Valley, stretching from Zahle to Jabal El Sheikh (Mount Hermon).  The trail crosses the vineyards of Kherbet Kanafar and winds through ancient oak groves. It then reaches a beautiful spring near an old mill before continuing through the surrounding countryside.  Ain Zebde produces walnuts, apples, peaches, onions, and red potatoes. The village also takes pride in its traditional Kebbet Batata, a potato kebbe stuffed with Kawarma and Labneh and grilled over charcoal.  The day ends with lunch at a local restaurant surrounded by natural springs. Before returning to Beirut, participants visit an ancient oak tree in Kherbet Kanafar.
