DESCRIPTION:This time, we invite you to enjoy a hike with a special combination: Laqlouq- Balaa – Chatine, a trail of our ancestors, perfect weather conditions, and beautiful peaceful scenery.\nHIKE LOCATION: Laqlouq – Balaa / Batroun Districts / In the north, 1550 – 2100 meters above sea level, 69 km from Beirut.\nWHEN: Sunday, April 28, 2024\nENCOUNTER PLACE:\n\nMar Maroun Church Parking, Dora @ 7:30 AM\nMartyrs Square at Al-Nahar Bldg., Beirut Downtown @ 7:10 AM\n\nFEES:\n\n$17/person including transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.\nChildren 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 15% ($15/person).\nForm a group of 5 persons (& more) and get a 15% discount ($15/person).\nThere is a 100,000 LL Extra Entrance fee to Baatara Sinkhole.\n\nDESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:\nLaqlouq is one of the best winter resorts suited for cross-country skiing. From Laqlouq, we’ll hike downhill for about 13 km to reach Balou3 Balaa then Chatine village.\nOur hike will begin near an old church, passing by Akoura Beautiful Lakes, and part of the trail will be along with the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT).\nHIKING LEVEL:\n\nLevel 4: Downhill trail of just 7 KM, passing by Saydet El Dahab and breathtaking views, ending at Baatara gorge waterfall.\nLevel 6: Continues from Balaa Pit downhill to Chatine village at an old Church (Saidet el Atika), with a bus ride back for Level 4 participants.\n\nWHAT TO TAKE:\n\nHealthy snacks\nLunch\nWater\nCap, sunglasses, and sunscreen\nComfortable walking shoes\nLight jacket\nThere will be a breakfast stop along the way.\n\nFOR RESERVATION AND INFO: Please Call 00961-70-986118 / 00961-70-997062 and mention your name, surname, and the event you wish to join us on.\nNOTE: Thank you for not smoking during the trip and following all ecotourism rules, including safety regulations.
