DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLebanon is facing its worst humanitarian crisis since the Great Famine of 1915, with over 1.3 million displaced people. As winter approaches and refugee numbers continue to rise in Beirut, providing emergency housing and hot meals is critical.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn response, over 100 photographers have organized an online sale of photographic prints to raise funds. Each photographer offers a 20×30 cm (or equivalent) print, limited to 15 copies, unsigned, and priced at €150.\nThe sale will run from October 25 to November 25, 2024. All proceeds will go to Mon Liban d’Azur, a Franco-Lebanese charity working on the ground in Beirut. Depending on the amount raised, Mon Liban d’Azur will support organizations such as Nation Station, Matbakh El Balad, La Cuisine de Mariam, Dafa Campaign, Beit El Baraka, and others.\nFor every €150 print purchased, the following will be donated to displaced families:\n\n50 hot meals\n11 mattresses\n40 pillows\n18 baby kits\n\nThe initiative is led by Photographers for Lebanon, a group of five women: photographers Emma Zahouani Burlet, Marguerite Bornhauser, Lara Tabet, and Randa Mirza, along with curator and art historian Yasmine Chemali.
