This sacred area is filled with ancient monasteries, hermitages, and caves, some dating back to the 3rd millennium B.C.\n\nTrail Highlights:\n• Deir Saidet Annoubine – One of Lebanon’s oldest monasteries, founded by Emperor Theodosius the Great. It features beautiful 16th- and 17th-century murals.• St. Marina Chapel – The burial site of 18 patriarchs. It honors Marina, a woman who disguised herself as a monk to enter the monastery.• Deir Mar Licha – The birthplace of the Maronite Monks. This site includes a cliffside church and four chapels built into a natural cave.• Scenic Views – The hike offers stunning landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere throughout.\n\nHike Details:\n• Difficulty Levels:– Level 2: Light and easy trail– Level 4: Moderate hike with some challenge\n• Route:Start at Mar Licha, then pass by St. Marina and Deir Saidet Annoubine.
