SUMMARY:Zeaitre: A Hidden Gem of Ftouh Keserwan With Vamos Todos
DESCRIPTION:Discovering Zeaitre: A Hidden Gem in Ftouh Keserwan\nZeaitre is a small yet remarkably beautiful village in Ftouh Keserwan. Its name may come from the historic Zeaiter pond or from the wild zaatar that grows abundantly in the area. The village sits 750 meters above sea level and lies only 42 km from Beirut. It is also the hometown of Lebanese wrestlers André and Jean Saade.\nA Village Preserving Nature and Heritage\nOver the years, the municipality has worked hard to protect Zeaitre’s ecosystem and heritage. As a result, the village now offers well-maintained hiking trails, clean surroundings, and preserved archaeological sites. Moreover, Zeaitre features more than 12 km of scenic trails filled with nature and history.\nAlong the way, hikers pass through ancient oak forests—some trees are between 300 and 900 years old. In addition, they discover old churches, Roman ruins, and Ottoman pathways that once connected nearby villages. Furthermore, the new Eco-Cultural Trail, developed with support from the German Embassy, highlights both the natural and cultural charm of this area.\nHiking and Activities\nThe day begins with a homemade breakfast prepared by local residents. Afterwards, hikers can choose between two levels:\n\n\nLevel 4 Hike: Around 8 km, moderate difficulty with some uphill and downhill sections.\n\n\nLevel 2 Hike: Around 3 km, an easier route leading to the Roman Stairs.\n\n\nDuring the hike, participants stop for coffee at the Vamos Todos campsite. Later, both groups gather for a traditional lunch prepared by Zeaitre’s housewives. The meal is served in a restored 250-year-old Lebanese house with beautiful wooden ceilings.\nEvent Details\nLocation: Zeaitre / Ftouh Keserwan – 42 km from Beirut – 750 m altitudeDate: Sunday, November 16Meeting Time: 8:00 AM (departure at 8:15 AM sharp)Meeting Point: Sagesse School parking, Jdeideh (facing the public garden)Breakfast stop included\nPricing and Registration\nPrice:\n\n\n$65 per person (includes transport, guides, insurance, and lunch)\n\n\n$30 without lunch\n\n\nRegistration:Available at all Antoine Library branches or online:www.antoineticketing.com/…/outdoors-experiences\nReservation:Daily from 8 AM to 5 PM at +961 3 917190 or +961 79 115001.For faster service, send your name, phone number, email, address, and event details via SMS or WhatsApp.\nAdditional Information\n\n\nWhat to bring & regulations: www.vamos-todos.com\n\n\nInsurance sponsor: LIA Assurex\n\n\n
