The Cedars of God stands as one of Lebanon’s most famous natural landmarks. Notably, it earned a nomination, along with Jeita Grotto, for the Seven Wonders of the World. Furthermore, Lebanon holds the oldest recorded cedar forests in history. Among the 31 forests across the country, the Cedars of God in Bcharre remains the most important and the oldest.
During winter, snow covers the cedar trees and creates a calm and striking view. In addition, visitors can admire the powerful sculptures by artist Rudy Rahmeh, which bring art and nature together.
The hike follows a moderate level and suits most participants. Throughout the day, the group explores the entire reserve while enjoying the quiet winter scenery. Afterward, everyone stops for lunch beneath the cedar trees, so please bring your own meal.
