Daroun Saydet Bchouche Hike With Vamos Todos

A scenic hiking day in Daroun will take participants along a newly prepared trail developed by the Lebanese Army Airborne Regiment, highlighting ongoing efforts to preserve Lebanon’s natural landscapes. The route connects with the Mar Youhanna Hrach trail, forming a loop of moderate to easy difficulty (Level 4).

The hike begins in Daroun and follows a path toward Aintoura, offering views of oak and pine forests alongside a peaceful stream, with panoramic vistas stretching across the valley to the sea. The trail then continues uphill toward Bkerke, passing by the historic Saydet Bchouche church near the Patriarchal Palace.

The route proceeds along the Airborne Regiment Trail to Beit Sabbagh, a heritage site surrounded by a traditional square and classic Lebanese architecture, before looping back to the starting point.

The trail is approximately 8.2 km long and features a mix of ascents and descents, with highlights including natural scenery and flowing water streams.

The day concludes with an optional lunch at a local restaurant.
