Driving Forces Solo Exhibition By Joseph Aphram

Joseph’s work explores human emotion through a visual language rooted in architectural principles such as composition, volume, shape, and form. Drawing on his academic background, he creates dramatic works, often in black and white, balanced by a sense of hope, curiosity, and reflection.

He avoids the obvious, favoring art that invites feeling and contemplation. Intricate lines and interwoven forms mirror the complexity of human experience, even when the overall composition appears restrained. The white veins running through his work suggest light waves tracing emotion—subtle, elusive, and rich with meaning.

Themes of perseverance, confrontation, and moments of shock recur in his practice, raising questions about how strength, resilience, and the human spirit can be captured in a still image.

Joseph holds two Master’s degrees, one in interior architecture and another in scenography and set design. A scenographer at heart, he translates his vivid imagination into events, stages, and television sets for specialized companies worldwide.
