Mount Lebanon

Join us on November 12 to enjoy Ehmej in fall time!

Ehmej is located in the Kaza of Jbeil, 57 Km far from Beirut. The village is 1140m above sea level and it stretches over an area of 1742 hectares, 17.42 Km2.
Unspoiled forests, cliffs, and valleys, Ehmej is the perfect destination for marvelous hikes all year round. Stunning views and friendly villagers makes Ehmej an ideal destination for escaping the city, being only 1 hour from Beirut and 25 minutes from Byblos.

Our hike will start from Ain Nassouh (1300 m) taking an uphill colorful forest reaching an altitude of 1650 m in wardiyet orchards (the highest point of our trail). From there, we will go down to to an adjacent ozer forest inside the valley with its colorful high iron oaks, mushrooms and many other species with Autumn leaves fallen on the ground from the majestic forest looking like a red carpet.

After finishing the 8 kms, we will hike in a 5 kms new trail inside another ozer forest with its colorful and autumn leaves some of them hanging on the trees giving a supreme beauty because of the red, yellow and gold colors which sometimes shine like a diamond because of the reflection of the sun. While, we will see some other leaves laying on the ground forming a magical red carpet.
We will enjoy these kind of sceneries until we reach wadi nezneze (1370 m) where the bus will be waiting for us.

Don't miss this trail because of it's dense and colorful trees during the autumn season.
