SUNSET HIKE LOCATION: Hsarat-Bjerrine-Hbaline / Byblos / Mount Lebanon


  • Altitude: 250 - 480 meters above sea level

  • Distance from Beirut: 37 km


WHEN: Saturday, May 4, 2024

ENCOUNTER PLACE: Saint Abda Church parking facing the New-bridge, Jal El Dib at 2:00 PM

FEES:

  • $17/person including transport (air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, warming up, stretching, and pictures.

  • Children (18 years old and younger): $15/person

  • Group of 5 persons & more: $15/person

  • Optional transportation by your own vehicle: $12/person


DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Join us on a memorable hike:

  • Visit Hsarat village and Deir Mar Youhanna (St. John).

  • Hike along an easy downhill and uphill path from Hsarat to Bjerrine (the Ghost Village) and then to Hbaline.

  • Walk along the mountain on a Phoenician track with stunning Mediterranean Sea views.

  • Explore Bjerrine Village, an abandoned village with ancient ruins dating back to Canaanite, Phoenician, and Roman eras.

  • Visit Mar Elias Church and discover old houses, mills, and wells.

  • Continue to Hbaline for more picturesque views and landmarks.


WHAT TO BRING:

  • Healthy snacks, flashlight, water, cap, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes.

  • Don't forget a light jacket.
