Baalbeck International Festival Returns: Discover the 2025 Program

The Baalbeck International Festival is making its much-anticipated return in 2025 with a spectacular line-up of performances that highlight Lebanon’s cultural richness and enduring spirit.

This year’s edition carries the theme “Pillars of Eternity”, a tribute to Lebanese heritage and resilience, especially poignant as Baalbeck—one of the regions most affected during the war on Lebanon—continues to rebuild and inspire through the arts.

Georges Bizet’s Carmen
Directed by Jorge Takla and conducted by Toufic Maatouk, this operatic masterpiece promises a stunning performance set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Roman temples.

August 8, 2025
Hiba Tawaji and Oussama Rahbani
A powerful live concert blending musical brilliance with a dazzling stage show, featuring one of Lebanon’s most iconic artistic duos.

Tickets will be available starting Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 10 AM through Virgin Ticketing Box Office. Early ticket buyers—before May—can also benefit from free transportation to the venue.

About the Festival

Established in 1956, the Baalbeck International Festival is the oldest and most prestigious cultural festival in the Middle East. Hosted in the awe-inspiring Roman temples of Baalbeck, it has long been a beacon for Lebanese art, music, and heritage.

The festival helped launch the careers of legendary Lebanese artists such as Fairouz and the Rahbani Brothers, and despite a 22-year interruption during the Civil War, it triumphantly resumed in 1997. Since then, it has hosted international icons including Sting, Charles Aznavour, and Jean Michel Jarre.

Even in times of turmoil and uncertainty, the Baalbeck Festival has adapted—whether through relocation or digital platforms—continuing to bring world-class performances to audiences across Lebanon and beyond.

Today, it stands as a powerful symbol of Lebanon’s resilience, cultural richness, and unwavering commitment to peace and artistic expression.
