Born in Lebanon in 1970, David Daoud lives and works between Lebanon and France. He is a painter, draughtsman, and sculptor. He studied at the École Supérieure Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and trained under sculptor Charles Auffret, from the lineage of Auguste Rodin.
Influenced by the great masters, Daoud creates a timeless body of work that blends classical heritage with a contemporary and sensitive vision of life. In 2018, Ibrahim Maalouf chose one of his works for the cover of Levantine Symphony. Public institutions, including the Musée de la Préhistoire in Beirut and the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, hold his work in their collections.
After two years away, marked by the destruction of his home in South Lebanon, Daoud returns to Beirut with “Ode à la Vie.” This exhibition presents his latest works. Through brighter light and vibrant colors, he celebrates resilience, beauty, and the enduring vitality of life.
