New Hiking Trip to Arsoun Valley with DALE CORAZON - LEBANON EXPLORERS!!!

Arsoun – Jouar Arsoun - Salima – Qarnayel/ Metn region / Mount Lebanon.

All four villages nestled in the heart of El Metn are located in Baabda District just 25 kilometers from the capital Beirut towards east, on an elevation of 750 above sea level. Numerous magnificent landscapes to be enjoyed during our hike absolutely approving that this is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in our treasured Lebanon.

440,000 LL/person or 11 $ including transport, professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Most of the villages we will pass by, are known for its pine trees that surround the village, it’s a source of valuable pine nuts. Olives, grapes, figs, apricots and other fruits are cultivated there as well.

We will walk in the narrow streets to see some old landmarks, such as the old olive trees, water springs, old mills, old Ottoman bridge, and the old churches.

HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous.

The trail will start near the Silk factory in Arsoun, then we will begin walking through the Pine and oak forest into a magnificent tunnel, and our hike will be divided to two levels:

Level 4 About 8 Km, will take a mostly downhill easy path with beautiful landscapes where will visit the old graves, and stop the hike in Jouar Arsoun than will go to visit the old bridges and old mill in Salima where we will have lunch at 3erzelna, from there will continue walking to visit Deir Mar Georges at Arsoun village.

Level 6 about 13 km, from Arsoun as level 4 to Salima where we will split into both groups per level. Will take uphill trail to get to the top of the hill to watch panoramic views. We will continue down towards Jouret Arsoun to 3erzelna campground, to meet Level 4 and take the lunch together then end the hike in Arsoun at Deir Mar Georges.

Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:

Distancing from each other is a must.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are in the bus.

Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (Professional brand is recommended) and don't forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches.
