Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 15%. There is 2.000LL Extra entrance fee to Bcharre Cedar Forest. DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: ======================== This time our hike will be in Bcharre - Tannourine in North Lebanon. We will make a tour of the reserve of Arz Rab, one of the most beautiful places in Lebanon. It was nominated, along with the cave of Jeita, to become one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The name Bekaa Kafra comes from Syriac and means "Flat spot and the village that has a municipal council". It is the birth town of Saint Charbel. Tannourine is home to over 70 000 ancient cedar trees. It is believed that some of these trees age between 1000 and 2000 years. Covering 12 square km, Tannourine Cedars Reserve lies in a splendidly beautiful area and protects one oN.B. HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous LEVEL 4 You will take the path leading to Bekaa Kafra, it’s an easy and beautiful trail of just 9.5 KM - 3,5 Hrs approx. - Altitude is 1900m to1650m. You will also be able to see rare views particular to this altitude terrain. Unesco classified it as a typical traditional Lebanese village. It is one of the highest villages in Lebanon; It is a must to see. You will visit Mar Charbel’s house, and many landmarks of the village. Lunch will be somewhere along the way from Arz Bcharre to Bekaa Kafra. LEVEL 6 trail of 21 km - 5.0 Hrs approx.- Altitude is 1900 m to 1750m. The track will take you to the entrance of Arz Tannourine. There will be stop for rest. Lunch will be somewhere along the way. It is an exceptional hike; the amazing scenery that your eyes catch upon reaching these amazing landscapes is indescribable. Don’t let any adventure go by untried. Live your life to the fullest!
