We invite you to a relaxing sunset hike from Aabrine to Batroun on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

SUNSET HIKE LOCATION: Ibrine/Batroun/North, 0-300 meters above sea level, 54 km from Beirut.

WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 2024

ENCOUNTER PLACE:

Saint Abda Church parking facing the New-bridge, Jal El Dib @ 2:00 PM

Martyrs Square at Al-Nahar Bldg., Beirut Downtown @ 1:40 PM

FEES:

$16/person including transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, local guide, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

Children 18 years old and younger will have a 10% discount ($15/person).

Form a group of 5 persons (& more) and get a 20% discount ($14/person).

Optional transportation by your own vehicle: $10/person.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

First, we will visit the tomb and Museum of Patriarch Elias Hoayek in Sainte Famille Convent. Then, we will hike together along a downhill easy path, walking along the mountain on a Phoenician track overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The track is not hard, and the walk will be around 2.3 to 3 hours. We'll visit the spring "Ain El Jdide" and "St Charbel cut off" (Mar Charbel Al Mokata3) on our way to Batroun Village. From there, we'll take the bus to Batroun, visit the historic St. Stephan’s Cathedral, walk in the old Souk, visit the Phoenician fortress and wall, and Our Lady of the Sea before finishing our walk at Makaad el Mir by the sea. Finally, we'll gather for a drink at Hilmi’s House, enjoying local Lemonade Drink.
