Come and experience the pleasant moments of hiking along the bank of “Nahr El-Jawz” and swim in the marvelous pond.

Naher El Jawz river runs through Beit Shlela and the charming village of Kfar Helda, known also as Bsetines el-Ossi (the Gardens of Ossi) where the most beautiful waterfalls in Lebanon exist. On February 24, 1998, the Environment Minister listed Nahr El-Jawz as a National and Historic Heritage Site.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

========================

The river has a unique beauty drawn by the hands of God. It renders possible the cultivation of a number of small private properties, watering the gardens and plots of farmland in Kfar Helda, Beit Shlela, and Bsetines el Ossi. The Ruins of many monasteries and churches are scattered around the villages.

In this hike, you will have many reasons to keep your cameras handy. From the moment you start hiking until the moment you stop, there will be scenes you'll want to cherish forever.

HIKING LEVEL: 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous.

Level 4; Easy Trail around 3 hours, we will start from Kfar Hilda village at Naher El Jawz River and take the path near "Waterfalls" passing through trees and bushes that will lead you to the source. We may benefit from a swim in the clean transparent water as well. The lust part of the trail is uphill with old stone steps.

Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:

Distancing from each other is a must.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus.

Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

WHAT TO TAKE:

============

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don't forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches.
