Hiking Trip to LAQLOUQ - BALAA with DALE CORAZON - LEBANON EXPLORERS

This time, we invite you to enjoy a hike with a special combination: Laqlouq- Balaa – Chatine, a trail of our ancestors, perfect weather conditions, and beautiful peaceful scenery.

HIKE LOCATION: Laqlouq - Balaa / Batroun Districts / In the north, 1550 - 2100 meters above sea level, 69 km from Beirut.

WHEN: Sunday, April 28, 2024

ENCOUNTER PLACE:

Mar Maroun Church Parking, Dora @ 7:30 AM

Martyrs Square at Al-Nahar Bldg., Beirut Downtown @ 7:10 AM

FEES:

$17/person including transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 15% ($15/person).

Form a group of 5 persons (& more) and get a 15% discount ($15/person).

There is a $100,000LL Extra Entrance fee to Baatara Sinkhole.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Laqlouq is one of the best winter resorts suited for cross-country skiing. From Laqlouq, we'll hike downhill for about 13 km to reach Balou3 Balaa then Chatine village.

Our hike will begin near an old church, passing by Akoura Beautiful Lakes, and part of the trail will be along with the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT).

HIKING LEVEL:

Level 4: Downhill trail of just 7 KM, passing by Saydet El Dahab and breathtaking views, ending at Baatara gorge waterfall.

Level 6: Continues from Balaa Pit downhill to Chatine village at an old Church (Saidet el Atika), with a bus ride back for Level 4 participants.

WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks

Water

Cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen

Comfortable walking shoes

Light jacket

There will be a breakfast stop along the way.
