Nada Matta: ÉCLOSIONS LIBRES
From June 2 to 4, Nada Matta opens the doors of her house, which is also her studio, perched on the slopes of the Metn mountains, in Ain Aar, to exhibit her paintings on the occasion of her Éclosions Libres event.
Painter, illustrator, author of children's books, Nada Matta studied at ATEP (Arts and Techniques of the Advertising Environment) in Paris and trained in dance with Françoise and Alain Chantraine. Deeply in love with her country, she returned to Lebanon after her studies, and stayed there. She has always laughed at all these incongruences that accumulate there. She even draws inspiration from it sometimes for her art and her approach to life:
“Everything starts with an opening, a desire. I mark my outlines, and I work a bit like I learned to approach life. Some details are very controlled, at least in intent. Then there is always the big part of surprise. As I work in India ink, the accidents that arise become a game that I have fun transforming into harmony. Often work leads me to more magic.”
