We invite you to a relaxing sunset hike between the cedars, on Saturday the 29th of October. We are going to a new territory, to a higher site... It’s wonderful!!! SUNSET HIKE LOCATION : Barouk- Maasser Al-Shouf /Al-Shouf. 1200 to 1950 meters above sea level. 64 km from Beirut. WHEN : Saturday, October 29, 2022 ENCOUNTER PLACE : Mar Abda Church parking facing the New-bridge, Jal El Dib @ 1:00 PM Or Martyrs Square at Al-Nahar Bldg., Beirut Downtown @ 1:15 PM FEES: 395,000 LL/person or 10 $ including transport, professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures. Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 15%. (350,000 LL/person) Optional transportation by your own vehicle 300,000 LL/person Make your group of 5 persons (& more) and get a 5% discount (380,000 LL per person). There is a 50.000 LL Extra entrance fee to Barouk Cedars Forest DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: This time you are going for a hike while enjoying the fresh air and watching the beautiful autumn sunset in the Shouf area. So, don’t miss the opportunity to contemplate the sky and the nature of the region from the Cedars reserve, where we are going to be. You will walk for a couple of hours between the beautiful cedars forest overlooking the villages of Mount Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea. Both Levels will start from the entrance of Arz Barouk forest, walking along the cliff overlooking the entire plain of Shouf. You will see the oldest cedar tree aged 3000 years, and a beautiful tree Lamartine (or Sawma’a). LEVEL 3 (trail of 1.5 hours approximately) from the beautiful Artificial Lake, you’ll take a dirty road (Hoopoe track) to Masief el Mir, then will take the bus to the entrance of Maasser Al-Shouf. You can take a lot of unforgettable pictures there. The scenery is great! LEVEL 4 (about 8 km) Our trail is easy; you will head to Maasser Al-Shouf. From Masief el Mir, you’ll descend another road (Crow Track) to the entrance of the reserve, where you will meet level 3 under Lamartine Tree. You will have minimal time for rest. Fresh air and a calm atmosphere out in nature is the best way to spend an autumn evening. This sunset hike must not be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: Distancing from each other is a must. Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus. Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. Don’t let any adventure go by untried. Live your life to the fullest! WHAT TO TAKE: Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruit, flashlight, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, and sunglasses.
