by LBTAdmin

Beihouse, Em Sherif and Buco have made it on the list of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026. Together, they showcase the diversity of Lebanese gastronomy from contemporary reinterpretations to elevated comfort food and time-honored classics. Notably, two of the three restaurants Beihouse and Buco are led by acclaimed chef Tarek Alameddine, highlighting his growing influence on the region’s dining landscape.

Beihouse #5

Named The Best Restaurant in Lebanon 2026 and recipient of the Highest New Entry Award, Beihouse (+961 76 82 03 82) is a cultural destination as much as it is a restaurant. Housed across three restored villas and a central courtyard in Gemmayzeh the space blends Lebanese design, art and hospitality. Chef Tarek Alameddine brings a boundary-pushing approach rooted in fermentation, preservation and reinterpretation of Lebanese flavors. Expect inventive dishes that bridge tradition and modernity from smoked hummus with caviar to contemporary takes on shawarma.

Em Sherif #13

A cornerstone of Lebanese fine dining, Em Sherif (+961 70 919 119) offers a lavish setting and a deeply traditional menu led by executive chef Yasmina Hayek. Known for its generous set menus and daily-changing signature dish, the restaurant showcases the best of local and seasonal produce. Already the recipient of multiple international accolades Em Sherif continues to represent Lebanese hospitality on a global stage with locations across the region and beyond.

Buco #39

Launched in late 2023, Buco (+961 3 843 474) is a relaxed gastro-bar celebrating burgers and cocktails done right. Also helmed by Tarek Alameddine the concept elevates comfort food with premium ingredients and creative combinations. The menu ranges from classic cheeseburgers to wagyu burgers in Japanese milk buns alongside playful starters and a well-curated cocktail list spanning aperitifs, sours and strong classics.

Lynn Hazim, a Lebanese chef and founder of Middle Child in Dubai, won the “One to Watch” award at MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants, highlighting her as an emerging culinary talent.
