The allure of Batroun

Batroun, a district with an enticing blend of history, nature and culture, boasts an array of attractions that cater to diverse interests. Whether you’re a history buff, an adventure seeker, a gastronome or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, Batroun has something to offer.

 

Historical charms & Religious Sites

The Phoenician Wall, Smar Jbeil Fortress, Museilha Fort, El Hosn Fortress in Bchaaleh and Hardine Roman Temple are just a few of the historical treasures waiting to be explored. The region is also home to religious sites like the Sanctuary of St. Naamtallah Hardini and Saint Stephan’s Cathedral.

 

Nature’s beauty

Batroun’s natural wonders include the Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve, Baatara sinkhole, Bsetine el-Aassy water cascade and the ancient olive trees of Bchaaleh, known as Noah’s Olive Trees.

Also Douma Village has recently earned the esteemed title of one of the world’s best tourist destinations for the year 2023, as declared by the World Tourism Organization.
