The day begins with a visit to the renowned Lady of Bechouat Monastery, a cherished pilgrimage site known for its reported miracles. From there, participants will set off on a scenic hike through the surrounding hills, enjoying panoramic views of the Bekaa Valley and Lebanon’s highest peaks, including Qornet al Sawda, Jabal El Sheikh, and Sannine. Along the route, hikers will also pass by the world’s largest illuminated rosary.
Two hiking options are available:
• Level 3 (7 km): A moderate trail with rewarding landscapes and viewpoints.
• Level 5 (12 km): A more demanding route designed for experienced hikers.
Following the hike, participants will visit Cave Rouge Winery for a wine tasting experience. The groups will then continue on separate routes: the Level 3 group will visit WADA (Women’s Association of Deir El Ahmar), while the Level 5 group will enjoy an extended trail featuring additional scenic viewpoints.
The day concludes at WADA, where local women will prepare and serve a traditional Lebanese lunch, offering an authentic taste of the region’s hospitality and culture.
