The Dalloul Artist Collective (DAC) Finissage: The Escape to Joy

The Dalloul Artist Collective (DAC) announces the finissage of its inaugural exhibition, The Escape to Joy. The event will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 PM at DAC Headquarters, Stone Garden Building, Marfa, Beirut.

Over the past several weeks, the exhibition welcomed strong engagement from artists, collectors, and cultural leaders. As a result, the finissage marks both a celebration and a moment of reflection. It will close with a cocktail reception.

Fawzi Baalbaki’s work stands at the heart of the exhibition. His practice speaks to hope, resilience, and the role of art in difficult times. Furthermore, as the head of a multigenerational artistic family, Baalbaki connects memory, legacy, and forward-thinking expression.

According to DAC founder Dr. Basel Dalloul, the exhibition succeeded on several fronts. “The Escape to Joy proved the DAC model works,” he said. “It gave the artist visibility, energized the community, and placed works in key regional collections.”

Consequently, the finissage is both a conclusion and a beginning. This fall, DAC returns with a new project in partnership with the Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF). This next exhibition will deepen DAC’s role as a space for critical and creative dialogue.
