I Remember, Rawan Rahim

I Remember is a new series by Lebanese-Iraqi artist Rawan Rahim (b. 1986), based on an archive of found photographs spanning nearly a century. Through painting, Rahim reimagines these images, exploring memory as a shifting, emotional, and collective experience.

The work reflects on how personal stories echo beyond the individual, blurring the lines between past and present, self and community.

Rahim lives between London and Beirut. She studied Art History and French Literature at University College London, and Fine Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
