Impressions Of Paradise
June 20 – October 30, 2025 | Tue–Sun, 10:00–17:00
The Nuhad Es-Said Pavilion for Culture presents Impressions of Paradise, curated by Nour Osseiran, with a catalogue by historian Marie Tomb.
This exhibition explores modern Lebanon’s image through rare travel and film posters from the Philippe Jabre Art Collection (1920s–1970s), showing how visual culture helped shape national identity—locally and abroad.
Alongside these nostalgic visions of cedar forests, Roman ruins, and golden beaches, four contemporary Lebanese artists reflect critically on the myths of mid-century Lebanon through themes of memory, rupture, and change.
