Overview
“Niha” means place of repose—once a summer retreat for Roman emperors from Baalbeck. The village is famed for its citadels and temples, dating back to the Roman, Byzantine, and Phoenician eras.
Pre-Hike Visit

Stop at local homes in Niha to sample and purchase homemade organic products such as kishk, pickles, syrups, and vinegar, supporting local producers.
Hike Details

Start from Niha and visit the lower Roman temple before heading toward Ferzol.
Two Trail Options:

Level 6 (Challenging): Steep ascent to the cliff-top cross with panoramic views of the Bekaa Valley, then descent to Ferzol.

Level 4 (Moderate): Gentle uphill walk to the upper temple, then descent to Ferzol.
Ferzol Exploration

Visit Al-Habis, featuring ancient ruins, caves, wine presses, and relics from Canaanite, Phoenician, and Roman times.

Discover the king’s chair and learn about the legends of hidden treasures.
Lunch & Closing

Enjoy a homemade Lebanese lunch in Ferzol before heading back.
