Sahel Alma – Ghosta – Ain Warka With Vamos Todos

A beautiful hiking day through the emblematic villages of Ftouh Keserwan, where nature, heritage, and spirituality come together.

The hike begins in Sahel Alma, offering breathtaking panoramic views. From here, you can admire the coastline stretching from Tripoli to Beirut, overlooking the Gulf of Jounieh.
Along the way, the trail passes through several spiritual and historical landmarks. First, we visit Deir Baklouch. Then, we continue to Deir Mar Youhanna El Kreim in Ghosta. Afterward, the path leads to the Jabal El Rahme (Mount of Mercy) Project, before reaching Deir Ain Warka.

At Jabal El Rahme, hikers will discover several highlights. Most notably, it features Lebanon’s highest statue of Christ, standing 22 meters including the base. In addition, the site includes a chapel dedicated to Mother Teresa and a museum honoring Saint John Paul II.
Meanwhile, at Deir El Kreim, participants will visit the tomb of Father Boutros Chalhoub, the founder of the Scouts of Lebanon.

Finally, the hike concludes at Deir Ain Warka, a 13th-century monastery and a former center of Maronite education. The day ends on a warm note with a homemade lunch at a charming local guesthouse.
