Twelve Women (And An Orange Cat), Benoît Debbané at The LT Gallery
The LT Gallery is excited to present Benoît Debbané’s solo exhibition, “TWELVE WOMEN (AND AN ORANGE CAT).” In this show, Debbané explores femininity and friendship, highlighting the extraordinary women who have influenced his life, alongside the mysterious presence of a cat.
Each painting reveals Debbané’s deep admiration for the unique traits of these women, from their self-expression to their balance of strength and vulnerability. The artist encourages viewers to rethink their ideas of beauty and imperfection, challenging traditional views of femininity. The choice of twelve women, with one omitted for superstition, shows Debbané’s thoughtful approach.
The exhibition reflects the depth and complexity of feminine identity, capturing moments of quiet thought and genuine emotion. Debbané portrays women in their most authentic form, with an orange cat as a recurring symbol that adds to the mystery of both femininity and feline companionship.
This combination draws parallels between the grace of women and the enigmatic nature of cats. This solo show marks a significant step in Debbané’s artistic journey, blending his illustrative roots with a move toward abstract expressionism, showing his growth and evolution as an artist.
The opening event is on Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 9 PM at our new gallery in Mar Mikhael. The exhibition will run until June 20.
