Summer in Lebanon is made for the sea. Whether you prefer chasing adrenaline behind a speedboat, exploring beneath the surface or letting the wind carry you across the water, the Lebanese coastline offers plenty of ways to spend a day outdoors. From Jounieh and Batroun to Jiyeh and Tyre, these are some of the best water sports to try this summer.

For Speed Seekers
If you’re after adrenaline, Lebanon’s water ski clubs offer a range of activities that cater to every skill level. Whether you’re trying a tow sport for the first time or looking to perfect your technique, these experiences promise plenty of excitement on the Mediterranean.
Wakeboarding
Combining elements of surfing, snowboarding and water skiing, wakeboarding is one of the country’s most popular water sports. Beginners can learn the basics with an instructor, while experienced riders can practice jumps, spins and tricks behind the boat.

Double Ski
For those new to water skiing, double skiing offers the perfect introduction. With one ski on each foot, you’ll enjoy greater stability while gliding across the water, making it easier to build confidence and improve your balance.
Mono Ski
Once you’ve mastered the basics, mono skiing offers a more technical challenge. Riding on a single ski requires precision, balance and control, making it a favorite among experienced water skiers looking to push their skills further.
Kneeboarding
Kneeboarding delivers many of the thrills of wakeboarding while being easier to learn. Riding from a kneeling position provides extra stability, making it a great option for beginners, families and anyone looking for a fun ride across the waves.
Jet Ski
Nothing compares to the freedom of exploring the coastline on a jet ski. Whether you prefer a relaxed ride along the shore or a high-speed adventure across open water, it’s one of the easiest ways to experience Lebanon’s coastline from the sea.
Banana Boat
Perfect for families and groups of friends, banana boat rides are all about laughter, speed and plenty of splashes. Hold on as the inflatable boat skips across the water behind a speedboat for one of summer’s most entertaining group activities.

Lebanon’s underwater world is just as impressive as its coastline. Clear waters, rocky reefs and historic wrecks make scuba diving one of the country’s most rewarding outdoor experiences.

Scuba Diving
Whether you’re earning your diving certification or trying an introductory dive, scuba diving offers the opportunity to discover marine life, underwater caves and some of the Mediterranean’s most fascinating shipwrecks, including the famous HMS Victoria. Thanks to favorable wind conditions, particularly along the northern coastline, Lebanon has become a popular destination for wind powered water sports. With experienced instructors and rental equipment available, both beginners and seasoned riders can enjoy the sea in a different way.

Windsurfing
Combining a surfboard with a sail, windsurfing allows you to harness the wind while gliding across the water. It takes patience and practice to master, but lessons make it accessible for beginners, and Batroun’s consistent winds provide excellent conditions for learning throughout much of the year.
Surfing
Lebanon’s surfing community has grown steadily in recent years, with several schools now offering lessons and equipment rentals. While winter generally brings the biggest swells, surfers can enjoy breaks throughout the year in destinations including Batroun, Byblos and Jiyeh.
