Beyrouth Livres 2025

From Wednesday, October 22 to Sunday, October 26, 2025, the Institut français du Liban and ESA Business School present the third edition of Beyrouth Livres—the major international Francophone literature festival.

Over 80 authors and publishing professionals from around the world will gather in Lebanon for a vibrant and diverse program featuring more than 80 events in Beirut and across the country. Among the guests: Nicolas Mathieu, Kaouther Adimi, Charif Majdalani, Hemley Boum, Serge Bloch, Lamia Ziadé, Chaker Bou Abdalla, and many others.

The festival kicks off on October 21 at 11:15 a.m. with the return of the national “15-minute reading break.” In the following days, dozens of authors will visit schools across Lebanon.

This edition highlights the festival’s multidisciplinary spirit—offering something for everyone through exhibitions, live drawing concerts, readings, performances, talks, and workshops. All literary forms will be celebrated, from graphic novels and children’s books to fiction and essays.

In 2025, journalism takes center stage with the awarding of the prestigious Albert Londres Prize.

As always, all events are free.

October 22–26 — Beirut and across Lebanon — celebrate books and reading.
