Join us this time to explore a fantastic trail in Deir al Qamar in Chouf Region.
This Hike will be between the Famous Deir al Qamar &Kfarqatra,Kfarhamal& Maaser Beit Dine Villages.
The historical village of Deir el Qamar was the capital of Mount Lebanon from the 16th to 18th centuries, a regional palace for the Emirs and the first Lebanese village to have a municipality in 1864.
Originally, the site of a Roman temple, the village, classified as a protected area since 1945, is one of the few in Lebanon to have preserved its typical old appearance, with narrow and winding paved-alleys, red tile roofs and stone houses. It also highlights the religious Lebanese diversity, with a synagogue, a church and a mosque in its main public square.
During our walk we will see wonderful views,Lakes, fresh springs, splendid nature and old houses there. Then, a long and beautiful downhill follows with wonderful panorama views,we will pass by the Kfar Qatra Rock (a.k.a. sin Um Saeed - Um Saeed's Tooth) - a hanging rockthat overlooks the Chouf Valley and the surrounding villages.
Finally, we will visit Deir al-Qamar Square and see its ancient historical landmarks and streets.
مشي في الطبيعة بين مدينة الامراء دير القمر وقرى كفرقطرا وكفرحمل ومعاصر بيت الدين الشوف.سنرى خلال مشينا مناظر بانورامية،برك مياه،ينابيع،منازل قديمة والصخرة الشهيرة سن ام سعيد التي تقصد من من قبل اللبنانيين والاجانب لاخذ الصور عليها لانها صخرة طائرة في الهواء كأنك في السماء.
اخيرا،سنزور ساحة دير القمر الشهيرة ونرى معالمها وشوارعها القديمة.

*7:55 AM near mobilitop nahr el mot.
*8:00 AM near Al nahar news paper downtown Beirut.
N.B: we can pick up all hikers who live on our way.
