Join us to discover a picturesque village in Marjeyoun,88 km South Lebanon,near the border,lost in olive groves, DEIR MIMAS,Named in honor of Saint Mamas.We’ll be hiking in its fields, overlooking the Litani River, the medieval castle of Beaufort to the west, and the peaks of Mount Hermon to the east.
it's a beautiful village with an old Church built back to the year 1600.
we start our hike in the village passing by old streets and old houses and many churches to see, after leaving the village ,we march almost 30 minutes to reach nab3 el hafour, then downward to get to Deir Mema, on our way to the Deir we pass by olive trees fields (we will have the option to buy olive and olive oil), from there we head to the waterfall before reaching the olive press.
Then,we go by bus to the village to have a traditional lunch in a house.
Finaly,we will go to see the Amazing Qala'at al Shaqif.
Qala'at al-Shaqif, "Bel Fort" or "Beau Fort" in French, Shaqif Arnun or Qala'at al-Shaqif in Arabic means Castle of the High Rock. It was a Crusader fortress captured by Fulk, King of Jerusalem, in 1139. Saladin captured it in 1190, and 60 years later it was returned to Crusader control. In 1268 Sultan Baibars captured the castle. In the 17th century Fakhr-al-Din II took the castle as a part of his network of fortifications, overlooking the plane of Marjeyoun, the Litani river and the Nabatieh region.

حدث:مشي في الطبيعة في دير ميماس وزيارة قلعة شقيف

‎انضموا إلينا لاكتشاف قرية خلابة في مرجعيون جنوب لبنان،تبعد ٨٨ كلم عن بيروت وتقع قرب الحدود ،فيها الكثير من بساتين الزيتون واسمها دير ميماس ،سميت هكذا تكريما للقديس ماماس،سنقوم بالمشي لمسافات طويلة في حقولها ، المطلة على نهر الليطاني ، وقلعة شقيف المبنية في القرون الوسطى من الغرب ، وقمم جبل الشيخ من الشرق.
‎ دير ميماس قرية جميلة فيها كنيسة قديمة يعود تاريخ بنائها إلى عام 1600.
‎ نبدأ مسيرتنا في القرية مروراً بشوارع قديمة وبيوت قديمة والعديد من الكنائس. بعد مغادرة القرية نسير حوالي 30 دقيقة للوصول إلى نبع الحفور ، ثم نزولاً للوصول إلى دير ميما ، في طريقنا إلى الدير سنمر بحقول الزيتون (سيكون لدينا خيار شراء الزيتون وزيت الزيتون) ، ومن هناك نتوجه إلى الشلال قبل الوصول إلى معصرة الزيتون .
‎ أخيرًا ، سنذهب لمشاهدة قلعة الشقيف المذهلة.
‎ ، شقيف أرنون أو قلعة الشقيف تعني قلعة الصخرة العالية. كانت قلعة صليبية استولى عليها فولك ، ملك القدس ، عام 1139. استولى عليها صلاح الدين الأيوبي عام 1190 ، وبعد 60 عامًا أعيدت إلى سيطرة الصليبيين. في عام 1268 استولى السلطان بيبرس على القلعة. في القرن السابع عشر ، اتخذ فخر الدين الثاني القلعة كجزء من شبكة تحصيناته المطلة على مستوي مرجعيون ونهر الليطاني ومنطقة النبطية.
الغداء سيكون بلدي من نساء في منزل قروي .
