Wine tour in the North with Dale Corazon - Lebanon Explorers!

"The North" invites you to the heart of the most beautiful wine growing areas in the world.

This time our wine tour will be in Ghazir and Batroun. We will visit the following wineries: TRAPPISTE PRIESTS, CLOS DU PHOENIX, and ADYAR; we will have breakfast at Deir el Mokhalles and lunch in Kfifan.

40,000 LL/person including transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, wineries visit, tasting and pictures.

Optional transportation by your own vehicles. (25.000 LL per person)

Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 12.5%. (30,000 LL per person)

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Lebanese wineries count over 30 nowadays. This ''bijou'' winery, with its clay-limestone vineyards, nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean-sea, produce a range of unique wines that capture the spirit of the Levant.

Our tour will start by a visit to Deir el Mokhalles ‘Trappiste Priests Winery’. We will taste wine and local products and have breakfast there.

Trappiste is a small winery, producing small quantities of high-quality wine.

Our next stop will be in Clos du Phoenix - Edde. It is one of the rare terroir wines produced in Lebanon. The quality is the wine guaranteed by traditional winemaking methods used manual harvesting. The winemaking is under the supervision of the French oenologist, Yvan Jobard. A special place there, La Terrasse de Clos du Phoenix, a sea view over the Mediterranean.

Now without food in your stomachs, the penultimate stop will be in Kfifan for lunch. Kfifan is an old stone house that reflect Lebanon’s authentic heritage and has a shop that sells homemade products, wine, organic foods and goods.

The last stop will be in ADYAR, located in the Monastery of Kfifan. Adyar, or Monasteries in Arabic, is a line of wines, made with grapes ORGANICALLY cultivated at a 410m and up to 1600m, and grown on a non-contaminated soil since 2003, which means they are not exposed to any pesticides or chemical fertilizers. You will get the chance to taste the white, red and rose wine.

Then we will take the bus to visit the historical “St. Stephan’s Cathedral”, walk in the old Souk, go to the “Phoenician wall”, visit “Our Lady of the See” and end our walk at “Makaad el Mir”.

A cultural tour of Batroun with a walk in the old souk and a visit to the Phoenician ruins will be a great way to spend the day.

Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruit, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap and sunglasses. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes that will be suitable to work in a field, in the countryside and don't forget to get a light jacket.
