This holiday season Lebanon is setting its sights on making Guinness World Records history. Singing Emmanuel, an unprecedented 170-hour Christmas carol concert, is officially underway.

Running from 16 to 23 December 2025 in Saint Coeur Kfardebian, Singing Emmanuel has already established itself as one of the most ambitious and emotionally resonant artistic productions Lebanon has witnessed in recent years. More than a musical marathon the event brings together voices generations and cultures in a continuous celebration transforming song into a shared national experience.

The concert opened with a striking inaugural ceremony led by Majed Bou Hadir, in collaboration with MTV Lebanon. The opening night featured the Alfayha National Choir whose presence brought choral depth and national significance to the launch. The ceremony was further elevated by a special performance by singer IYAN adding a contemporary and emotive dimension to the evening.
Behind the project is an original concept imagined by Sandra Akiki, whose vision grew into a nationwide and internationally resonant production. From its inception Singing Emmanuel was conceived as an open invitation calling on voices from across Lebanon while welcoming participation beyond its borders.

Visually the opening night was transformed by a large-scale 3D mapping experience designed and executed by Cre8mania. The immersive projection turned the venue into a living canvas where architecture light and sacred music converged setting the artistic and emotional tone for the days that followed.
The overall creative direction of Singing Emmanuel is led by creative director Geo Bouery. Under his direction, the project sits at the crossroads of faith art and innovation offering a contemporary interpretation of a centuries-old tradition.

Adding an international dimension to the concert is Stephany Siriwardahna, a Sri Lankan international artist cultural ambassador and humanitarian who traveled from Sri Lanka to join the 170-hour performance. Of Lebanese and Sri Lankan heritage, Siriwardahna returns to Lebanon a country she carries as part of her identity to sing for unity resilience and love. Founder of the Infinite Grace Foundation Miss Sri Lanka Universe and a former senator of the Sri Lankan Youth Parliament, her participation reinforces the universal message at the heart of the production music as a language that transcends borders cultures and belief systems.

As the concert continues Singing Emmanuel welcomes a diverse lineup of guest artists each contributing their own voice and artistic identity. Performers include Matteo El Khodr, Joe Chahoud, Marc Reaidy Baz, Johnny Najem, Joey Keyrouz, Layal and Ghada Nehme, Nicolas El Osta and Georges Wadih El Safi, creating a collective musical journey that evolves hour by hour.
The marathon will culminate in a vibrant closing ceremony, featuring DJ OMS and DJ Turyaki, shifting the atmosphere from reflection to celebration and bridging sacred harmony with contemporary rhythm.
More than an attempt at a world record Singing Emmanuel is a national moment one where Lebanon sings together remembers together and reclaims the power of collective voice through faith art and unity.
