Cost: 25$ (including transportation, mini vans in the valley and DLB animators)

Location: Qadicha Valley – Wadi Qannoubine/ Becharre and Zgharta Districts
Altitude: 1200m above sea level
Approximately 80 km from Beirut

Overview: Hike Wadi Qannoubine, a holy valley in Northern Lebanon scattered with caves, chapels, hermitages, and monasteries carved into the rock.

Highlights:
- Saint Qannoubine Monastery: Once a fortress palace for Maronite Patriarchs from the 15th to 19th centuries. The church, partly carved into the rock, features 18th-19th century frescoes.
-Saint Marina Monastery: Marina was a woman who disguised herself as a man to join her father, a layman who gave up everything after the death of his wife and became a monk at the Monastery of Our Lady of Qannoubine in the Qadisha Valley of Lebanon.
-Qadicha river, beautiful autumn scenery, moutains and caves.

Trail Details: Two hiking levels offered, 3 trails depending on the number of participants:
-Level 1: Easy : From the hydroelectric power station to Saint Qannoubine, covering less around 6 kilometers. On our way back we will take special cars safari style to get to our bus.
-Level 2: Moderate: Starting from Blawza village, passing Saint Marina Monastery to Deir Saydet Qannoubine covering around 8km but with some downhills and uphills. On our way back we will take special cars safari style to get to our bus at the hydroelectric station.
-Level 3: Moderate:  beginning from Hawqa village, visiting St. Marina Church, and onward to the Monastery of Lady of Qannoubine. On our way back we will take private cars or vans safari style to get to our bus at the hydroelectric station.
Equipment: Hiking shoes, backpack, water, snacks and lunch box. Picnic by the river
